Winfield Shanklin

Winfield Shanklin of King George County, Virginia slipped into eternal rest at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was born February 3, 1934 to the late Columbia Shanklin and Frank Muse.

Winfield affectionately known as Winnie worked as a construction worker. Winnie loved his job and worked as hard as he could. He accepted christ at Salem Baptist Church in Welcome, Virginia at an early age.

Winnie had a love for people, he knew people everywhere and everyone knew him. He enjoyed riding his bike, watching wrestling on Mondays with his lovely sister and talking trash.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary Jane Shanklin of Fredericksburg, VA; one devoted sister Elizabeth Whiting of King George, VA; one devoted niece Christine Whiting of King George, VA; one devoted nephew Albert Shanklin of King George, VA; and a special person whom he helped raised Laura "Muff" Harvey; two sisters-in-law Doris Scott and Ella Peyton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
