Willie F. Johnson, son of the late Newton and Ethel F. Johnson was born June 27, 1927 in Caroline County, Va. He departed this life Wednesday morning, December 17, 2003 at this residence after a long illness.
He was joined in holy matrimony to the former Doris Brooks. From this union, one daughter was born.
Willie worked at Jeter Sawmill in KIng George for a number of years until the Sawmill closed. He had a great love for fishing and spending special time with his family.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined the Free Mission Church in Caroline County and later when moving to King George, he joined the Salem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L. O. Banks.
His brother John and his sister Fannie preceded him in death. He leave to cherish his memories, his wife Doris Johnson of King George, Va.; a daughter, Maxine Johnson of King George, Va.; two grandchildren, Natasha and Lewis Johnsons of King George, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Alonte' and Jawun Fauntleroy of King George, Va.; four sisters, Annie Maude Epps, Mary Grimes, both of King George, Va.. Garnett Hackett of Montross, Va.; Marie Berkley of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Ernest Johnson of King George, Va.; Robert Johnson of Colonial Beach, Va.; Edward Johnson of Williamsburg, Va.; one son-in-law, Lewis Johnson of King George, Va.; four brother-in-laws, John Epps, George Berkley, Calvin Grimes and Robert Gardner, Jr.; two sister-in-laws, Irene Johnson of Colonial Beach, Va.;Juanita Gardner of Washington, D.C.
and a host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
