William “Willie” Hunaford Culley was born April 16, 1946 to the late Edna (Culley) Scroggins and James Buckner. He attended Stafford County Public Schools. Willie worked most of his life as a skilled plumber. He would also take his sons on many job sites with him and taught them the trade. He loved and lived for the outdoors. His favorite past time was hunting and fishing. He was blessed with five children, twin daughters and three boys he often spoke about. Willie was a caring father, grandfather, son, and brother.
He was predeceased by his mother Edna Scroggins, his father James Buckner, his brother Theodore Culley, his grandfather Wallace Culley, and his grandmother Annie (Turner) Culley. He is survived by five (5) children, Brenda Simmons (Reginald) from Severn, Md., Linda Paris (Derrick) from Richmond, Va., Kelvin Culley (Bonnie) from Denver, Colo., William Culley (Anjanette), from Denver, Colo., and Bryan Culley (Sandra) from Raeford, N.C.; seventeen (17) grandchildren, Angelique Ross (Phil), Destiney Simmons, Teaira Pratt, Chester Pratt (Menica), Peggy Pratt, DeJanee Culley, Nia Culley, Soleil Culley, Kacey Culley, Kim Bonito, Kavin Bonito, Kayla Turner (Joey), Candace Lane, Rachelle Scheel (Jaymen), Aiyonna Culley, Christopher Culley, and Katelyn Culley; nine great grandchildren; five (5) sisters, Marjorie King (Donald), Deborah Scroggins (Edward), Rita Pleasant (Bobby), Dorothy Flowers, and Laura Scroggins; two Aunts, Ellen Queen Hunt and Nancy Poole; one Uncle, Ronnie Culley and a host of nieces and nephews.
