A time to Reflect…
Willard T Harvey, son of the late Willie and Mary Harvey was born on October 21, 1976 in Fredericksburg VA. He departed this Life Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the comfort of his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Willard affectionately known as "Will" joined Salem Baptist Church at an early age. Willard rededicated his life to the Lord in 2011 and began to faithfully resume his relationship with God and his church.
Willard was educated in King George County School System, where he graduated in 1994. He was very active in sports (football, basketball, and track and field). Willard worked for Radley Chevrolet for more than 8 years until his health began to fail.
Compassionate Husband, Loving Father, and Kind friend, Willard was a lot of things to a lot of people. But what he was not was one with mixed emotions; you never had to guess where you stood with Willard. He had a way of saying what he meant, and if he didn't voice it his facial expressions clearly did. Will had a compassion for all children. Will was a father figure for his two nephews James Brown Jr and Antwan Brown. Will enjoyed playing softball on the Jersey Ball field as a "Chevrolet", fishing and shooting pool as a member of the APA Pool League.
Willard was preceded in death by a play brother, Percy Harvey Jr. Willard will be lovingly missed by his wife Christy Harvey, and his children Trevon Harvey, De'Shon Brown, Tiyanna Brown, and Willard "Noodle" Harvey all of King George VA. Three aunts Carolyn Harvey, Louise Campbell (Clarence), Mollie Calloway of King George VA, three uncles Walter Steen (Joann), Willie Steen (Sylvia), Bert Harvey (Leola) all of Washington DC. A Mother-in-law Maggie Brown of King George VA. Father-in-law James Brown of King George VA. Three Brother-in-laws Gary Brown (Sandra), Frederick Brown and James R. Brown all of King George, VA. One God-mother Roberta Samuels of King George. Two God-brothers Kenneth and Erik Samuels of King George VA, four God-children, Elijah Harvey, John "Jay" Buckner III, Anthony and Preston Gibson all of King George. Two Lifelong friends John Buckner Jr. and Marvin Williams. Special friends Jermaine Baylor, Major Daniels, Frankie Jett and Robert Hunter. Two special caregivers Charnese Baylor-Allen and Milton Harvey. Fifteen nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
