Willana Talley Wiggins

Williana Talley Wiggins was born in Henrico County, Virginia on April 17, 1919 to Mrs. Mary Hampton Smith-Henley of Caroline County, Virginia and Mr. Ralph Talley of Greenville, South Carolina.
Williana attended Richmond Public Schools. She attended cosmetology school given at The First Baptist Church in Richmond, VA and received her Cosmetology license there for The Art of Modern Hair. Williana took employment at the Tobacco Factory in Richmond, Virginia where she met her husband, Late Henry D. Wiggins of Dinwiddie, Virginia. They married July 6, 1946. They moved to the country while saving to purchase their home in Richmond 1958. She lost Henry June 17, 1970 and never remarried and never moved. Later she worked for Pohlig Box Factory in Richmond, Virginia making boxes for Thalhimer and Miller & Rhoads. These two stores became her favorite to shop. In addition to her full-time work, she worked at Billy's Restaurant. Williana retired in 1981.
Williana was a devoted mother and grandmother to her daughter and grandchildren. To anyone who knew Mrs. Willie knew she was someone special to talk to. She enjoyed talking to her cousins Mary Dudley and Helen Carter on the phone. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, sewing and spending time with her family. Her favorite holidays were Easter and Christmas.
Williana leaves her daughter, Rosemary Wiggins (Watson), grand-daughter, Stephanie Miller (Rizzi), devoted grand-daughter Lora Miller (Tolliver), grand-daughters Williana Davis (Parker), Alberta Davis (Huwar), grand-sons Henry Davis (Ronnet), Late Reginald Davis (Diana), devoted great-grand-daughter Jessica Miller and 15 great-grand-children to cherish loving memories.
