Wilhelmina Fennell

On Saturday, August 21, 2004, Wilhelmina Curtis Young Fennell entered into eternal rest at the Warsaw Healthcare Center in Warsaw, Va. She was the daughter of the late Josephine Burrell and William Amos Young, Sr.

She joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church at an early age and was an active member until she moved to New York where she joined the Abbsysenia Baptist Church. Later she moved to Long Island and joined Walker Memorial Baptist Church. She joined the Tridestone Baptist Church and remained there until her health began to fail. She never forgot her father's words, ''When you leave home connect yourself with a church.''

She attended Hustle Elementary School, Rappahannock Industrial Academy and Virginia State College. She worked for Advanco Inc. for 30 years.

Her husband, Glenn Fennell, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her mother, Robinette Young; three brothers, Leonidas (Cora), Theodore, and Purnell (Soc); five sisters, Esther, Josephine, Ruby (Taylor), Patricia (Delaney) and Denyce (Amos) and sister-in-law Girlene and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
