Welford Ferguson

Welford departed this life on Monday, January 19th, 2004 at his residence.

He was a native of Caroline County, Virginia. He attended the Caroline County Public Schools. He worked for Foreign Domestic Woods for 35 years.

He was joined in holy matrimony on May 7, 1955 to Mae Vernell Baylor. From this union, five children were born, two sons, Lorenzo and Elvis, three daughters, Shirley, June and Patricia.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mae Vernell Ferguson of Bowling Green, VA.; two sons, Lorenzo Ferguson and Elvis (Boe) Ferguson, both of Bowling Green, Va.; three daughters, Shirley Carter of Bowling Green, Va.; Patricia Turner of Norfolk, Va.; June Ferguson of Newport News, Va.; three sisters, Bernice Brown of Colonial Beach, Va.; Dorothy Ferguson of Washington, D. C.; and Eleanor Smith of Maryland; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, Allen Baylor of King George, Va.; Durvell Smith of King George, VA.; and Marshall Davis of Weems, Va.; one daughter-in-law, Virginia Ferguson, two sons-in-law, James Turner and Roosevelt Parker; a host of other of relatives and friends.
