For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, and took with him another beautiful angel that who so ever believeth in him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Virginia G. Lumpkin Brooks was born on October 31, 1933 in King George, County Virginia. She entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Virginia accepted Christ and joined the Antioch Baptist Church at an early age. She received her education through the King George Public School System.
Virginia was joined in holy matrimony to the late Walter H. Brooks, Jr. and from this union seven children were born and three of whom preceded her in death.
Virginia or (V.A.) as most of her friends called her enjoyed cooking, baking and shopping. She loved to be pampered by getting her hair, nails, and eyebrows done all the time. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and having them stay at times for the weekends and during the summer. Virginia was the head cook and caterer at the Hillcrest restaurant in King George, Virginia for many years and then went on to work at King George High School until her retirement.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Wanda A. Brooks of Fredericksburg, Virginia; three sons, Michael L. Brooks of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Boydton S. Brooks of Culpeper, Virginia, and Ronnie S. Brooks of King George, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Valerie C. Daniel (Victor), Boydton S. Brooks, Jr. (Jessica), Whitney S. Brooks, Evonte´ J. Winn, Brielle Glasco, Caitlin D. Winn, Davinia Byrd and Brizen Glasco; three great-grandchildren, Tamarcus Daniel, Tyniah Daniel and Zacari Brooks; one sister whom she cherished, Shirley Whiting; one brother-in-law, Thurmond Brooks (Marsha) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two sister-in-laws, Carolyn Harvey and Joyce Harrison (Alfred) both of King George, Virginia; one aunt, Georgia Lumpkin who Virginia cherished and loved dearly; two special uncles whom she held dear to her heart, Robert and John Allen they helped raise, nurtured and loved her dearly; five special and close friends, Cornelia Gatewood Stepney, Sandy J.
