Tony O. Buckner

On Friday May 1, 2020, Tony Orlanda Buckner transitioned this earthly life. Born July 16,1954 to Thomas and Helen Buckner in Fredericksburg, VA.
Tony excepted Christ at an early age and joined Antioch Baptist Church and recently rededicated his life to the Lord and got Baptized and became a member of Union Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnell Howard.
Tony was educated in the King George County Public School system. He served with the Army National Guard and was an active member of the American Legion Post #329.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Sharon Williams on July 20, 1984.
He was truly a people person and a great organizer of many events. Tony was a member and event planner of the Ralph Bunch Alumni Associations annual cookout with Gospel music and a car show as well as the Chief Cook-In Charge at the annual 4th of July cookout in Mill Point Shores, (Chaptico, MD) at his dear friend Sheldonna Proctors’ home. People had this running joke that Tony was where the food was so he went to funerals to eat at the repast. Food was one of his favorite past time hobbies, whether it be eating or cooking.
Tony wore many hats, he was a BBQ master, a photographer, landscaper, a true jack of all trades. Tony had a passion for shooting pool, the Washington Redskins, watching westerns, cars, and motorcycles. He was a member of the Blood Brothers M/C and later moved his membership to Back2Back M/C where he was the Vice President known in the community as “House Dawg.”
His love of people and witty humor will be missed by anyone whom had the pleasure of being in his presence. To know him was to love him!!!
Employed by Paragon Systems at Potomac Center Plaza (PCP), Department of Education, and Department of Labor, where served and protected, known to everyone there as Buck. He was also the proud owner and CEO of 2 small businesses.
