Thomas William Mahoney, a long standing resident of Prince William County, and a recent resident of Caroline County, Virginia, died unexpectedly on November 13, 2024 at Spotsylvania Regional Memorial Hospital.
Thomas was born on November 27, 1980 in Los Angeles, California to parents William and Ruth Mahoney. He attended high school at Narbonne and Gar-Field Senior High Schools located on both the west and east coasts respectively and graduated in 2005. Thomas is remembered for his heartwarming smile and willingness to give to others. He enjoyed fostering his spiritual mission of food service by cooking for his family and friends and assisting others in their times of need. Thomas was a caregiver for several years prior to his passing and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father William Mahoney; grandparents Robert and Rose Mary Werner, Aunts Rosann Werner and Robin Bell.
Thomas is survived by his mother Ruth Mahoney; sister and brother in-law Keeyana and Gregory Johnson; nieces and nephews, Gregory Jr., Cameron, Lilyanah, London and Carter; grandparent Dorothy Mahoney; aunts and uncles Kimberly and Warren Anthony, Edward Bonarrigo, Richard Werner, Mindy Kay, and Robin Werner; cousins Patrick and Shaun Wright, Gregory and Stephen Anthony, Timothy Bonarrigo, and Gregory and Nancy Bonarrigo along with several great uncles, great aunts and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Bennett-Brooks Funeral Home in Port Royal, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family’s charities of choice:
