Thomas LeVan Hardie, 56 died November 3, 2004 in Agni, Mexico, where he made his home after retirement. He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church, Williamsburg, N. J., where he was Guitarist for the church's music ministry before his retirement to Mexico. He was the son of the late Violet Hughlet Hardie and the grandson of Nelson and Ethel Hughlett of Spotsylvania. Mr. Hardie is survived by one sister, Renee Hardie Stewart of Dale City, Va.; a lifelong brother of the heart, Darnell (Donnie) Hicks of New Jersey; three aunts, Virginia Bugg of Philadelphia, Pa.; Anita Perkins of Jamaica, N. Y.; and Doris H. Barnett of Spotsylvania, Va.; one uncle, Nelson Hughlett, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa.; one niece, Kimberly Stewart of Dale City, Va.; two nephews, Robin and Jerome Stewart both of Dale City, Va.; three god children, Tiffany Holmes, Steven Holmes and Kenneth Hicks all of New Jersey; and a little friend, Ayana Hicks of New Jersey; and a host of friends.
