Thomas F. Davis, II "Tom" was born June 27, 1961 in Hampton, Virginia to Thomas and Adell Davis. On June 9, 2015 at 4:10 PM, Tom went home to be with the Lord.
Tom lived with his parents since birth and traveled with his family from Hampton, Virginia's Langley AFB to many states including; Massachusetts, South Carolina, Texas, Alaska, Maryland and finally back to Virginia (King George). Tom attended special education classes and schools in each of these locations. His special education classes ended in Suitland, MD at the age of 22. After the end of the special education training, Tom spent the majority of his life traveling and participating in activities with his parents. In his later years Tom was mostly under home care and enjoyed taking lots of naps.
While Tom was not able to talk, read or relate to religious services, he accompanied his parents to church services, which he enjoyed and was active in playing with ladies hair and hats when his parents were not watching. In 1978 after moving to the Washington Metro area the Davis Family and Tom began to attend Second Baptist Church SW, Washington, DC (now in Suitland, MD). The Davis Family were members of Second Baptist for over 30 years until January, 2015 when they joined Little Ark Baptist Church, King George, VA.
Tom leaves behind a family that loves and will miss him every day including: his mother and father, Adell and Thomas; sister, Helen Jacobs (Matthew, Jr., Matthew II and Aaliyah); brother, Charles Davis (Anna); nephews, Ronald Wood (Shameka and Maliek), Javon Wood (Jessica and Jordyn) and Winston Davis. Tom also leaves a multitude of Aunts and Uncles; Martha Berry (Walter) of Elizabeth City, NC; Barbara Jones of Tulsa, Ok; Zelma Gambrel, Pearline Chappell, Bobby Miller (Kale), Hazel Miller and Delilah Anderson (Luther) of Greenville, SC; Garnell Miller, Phil Miller and Cynthia Hasan of Denver, CO; and many cousins.
Thank you all for spending this time with Tom and his family today and for all the kind words, prayers and other acts of love and support. May God bless you all.
Love the Davis Family
