Thomas E. Jackson son of the late Calvin M. and Cora B. Jackson was born November 30, 1956 in Westmoreland County Virginia. He entered eternal rest on Monday, July 17, 2006 in Rappahannock, Va.
Thomas received his education in Westmoreland County Public Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Grant Hill Baptist Church, Leedstown, Va. ''Tom Dooley'' was a warm personable, high energetic and very positive individual. He always wore a smile on his face. His friendly and generous nature always brightened the lives of those to whom he was in contact. ''Tom Dooley'' had a very big heart and constantly put the needs of family, friends, and community first.
Thomas was a dedicated employee with the Fairfax County Public School Systsem for over 25 years as a Building Supervisor. He dearly loved his job and took pride in wearing his uniform. He received numerous Outstanding Performance Awards.
Dooley loved playing and watching various sports. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboys Fan. His hobbies included baseball, gardening, fishing, horseshoes, hunting, shooting pool, and playing music. Dooley really loved his music.
On April 20, 1991, Thomas was united in Holy Matrimony to Patricia Darlene Johnson known to many as ''Pat.''
He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Patricia, one daughter Naomi Fortune of Colonial Beach, Va.; one son Thomas Johnson of King George, Va; one grandson Keith Fauntleroy of Colonial Beach, Va; two sisters, Ella Plowden of Bladensburg, Md.; Stephanie Jackson of Fort Washington, Md.; four brothers, Calvin M. Jackson (Lovieta) of Lancaster, Va.; George J. and Kevin Jackson of Spotsylvania, Va.; Joseph E. Jackson (Donna) of Colonial Beah, Va; Mother-in-law, Polly Johnson of King George, Va; eight aunts, Beatrice Berry (William) of Fort Washington, Md.; Josephine C. Alston (Robert) of Alexandria, Va; Estell Dabney (Walter); Jean McCoy, Barbara Peter (James), Madgeline Clark, Geraldine Powell all of Baltimore, Md., and Naomi Bundy (Arnold) of Hanover, Pa., six uncles William Byrd (Lucy) of King George, Charles Byrd (Alberta), Thomas Byrd (Rose Marie), Milton Byrd (Ida Louise), Edward Byrd, Everett Byrd (Rose Ella) all of Colonial Beach, Va; one aunt-in-law, Anita Byrd of Oxon Hill, Md., three sisters-in-law, Cheryl Ellis (Al), Martha Johnson and Erica Johnson; one brother-in-law, Floyd Johnson, Jr.; one special friend his dog ''Lady'' and a host of other relatives and friends.
