Mr. Theodore Emanuel "Bobo" Lucas was born to the late Charles Edward Lucas and Martha Madgelene Brown Lucas on August 28, 1951 in Colonial Beach Virginia. He went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2015 at Georgia Regional Center, Augusta Georgia at 7:21 PM. In August 1963, he accepted Christ and joined the Good Hope Baptist Church in King George, Virginia under the leadership of the late Reverend Ralph E. Cabbell.
As a youth, he attended Sunday School and worship services. Bobo was educated in King George County, graduating with the first consolidated class at King George High School in 1969.
Through Bobo's journey of life he was employed by the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2009 with 40 years of service. He was currently employed with Logistic Care transporting Senior Citizens to medical facilities throughout the Central and Tidewater Virginia regions.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers--Vernell Stanley Lucas and Charles Linwood "Sonny" Lucas.
Bobo was a very pleasant, kind hearted, soft spoken , easy going and concerned person. He loved his family and had a very special love for his daughters. Bobo's three daughters are Tonia, the oldest, and Tricey and Nikki from his former marriage with Brenda Thompson.
He was an avid football fan and loved the Minnesota Vikings.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters. Tonia and husband Anthony, Latrice and Latesha, all of Fredericksburg, VA; eight grandchildren Ashley, Shantece, Jalen, Shalante, Isaiah, Hamya, Michael & Kennise; two great-grandchildren Jayda and Jakhi; a loving sister Virginia Ashton of King George; two brothers Deacon Robert Brown (Annette) of Ft. Washington, MD and Bernard Lucas (Nadine) of King George, VA; one sister-in-law Connie Lucas of Colonial Beach, VA; 7 nephews, 5 nieces, 10 great-nephews, 10 great-nieces, 4 great-great-nephews and 4 great-great-nieces; a special friend Victoria Evans of College Park, MD and a good buddy Leroy Newman of Colonial Beach, VA. Also cherishing fond memories are his very special friends and classmates who he was always happy to see--Stanley Allen, Clinton Allen, Spencer Pryor, Sr. and Maurice Beverly.
