Sidney Clay Jeter went home to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Sidney was born on January 27, 1957 to the late Richard Loving and Mildred Jeter Loving in Caroline County, Virginia.
Sidney attended the Caroline County Public School System, at an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savoir at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Central Point, Virginia. In August 1975, he joined the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. On July 28, 2007 he joined in holy matrimony to Mary Yarbrough.
Sidney had a gift for music and art. He loved a wide range of music. He shared his talented voice with his family and friends at family gatherings and at Ferebee's. He was a very well known person for no one was a stranger to him, if he did not know you he would get to know you.
His parents Richard and Mildred, his brother Donald and two daughters preceded him in death.
Sidney leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Jeter; one son Michael Watson (Alanda); his daughters Eugenia Cosby (Reginald), Latasha Tate (Rashawn) and Sylvia Baylor (Chris); his only sister Peggy Fortune, five grandchildren Reginald (RJ)Cosby Jr., Trashawn Tate, Sierra (CeCe)Cosby, Miah Miller-Baylor, Rashim Tate; only niece Tracy Fortune , three nephews Mark, Sterling and Donald; three great nieces LaNadia, Nirajhe, Nariyah; five great nephews Mark II, LaMon'tray, Cadien, Sebastian, Izaiah; two uncles Douglas Jeter (Ida) and Lewis Jeter (Eileen); three special cousins Jerrell and Warren Hill; and Theodore Washington (Boo- Boo); a special sister-in-law Kathi Loving; his dear mother-in-law Kate Yarbrough; his step children Emmaly, Mara, Kelvin and one step granddaughter MaKayla; three sister-in-laws Olivia, Katie, Martha; four brother-in-laws Fred, Andrew, Thomas, and John; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends; four special friends Dorsey Monroe, Edward Clarke, Eula Myers, Joan Ware.
