Ruth O. McMillian

Ruth O. McMillian was born on January 29, 1949 and departed this earthly life on October 9, 2023. She was one of twelve children born to Edward and Rebecca Alexander of Milford, Virginia. After attending Caroline Public Schools, Ruth moved to Washington, DC. She went to work for the United States Government Printing Office. It was there that she met her late husband Paul McMillian and married him on July 25, 1975. They worked in the same department together for 32 years. After living in Bladensburg, Maryland for 20 years, they moved to Virginia. At that time, Paul and Ruth accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Savior.

They faithfully attended The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Woodford, Virginia. Ruth leaves to cherish her memories a son Kenneth A. Johnson, daughter Cynthia L. Harris; two sisters: Naomi Alexander and Edna; four brothers: William, Jesse, James, and Sherrod; four sisters-in-law: Shirley, Gail, and Thelma Alexander; and Darlene McMillian of Upper Marlboro, MD; two grandsons: Diamond and Paul; and one granddaughter Jasmine.
