Russell Payton Wright

Russell Payton Wright was born Septmber 20,1922 to the late Allen and Ellen Wright in Caroline Co., Va. He received his education in Caroline Co. Schools. He was a Commercial truck driver and mechanic for many years until he retired. He was joined in holy matrimony to Clara Mason. At an early age he joined St. John Baptist Church, where he faithfully attended the early morning worship service until his health began to fail. On Thursday, November 6, 2003, he peacefully went home to be with our Lord. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mabel Bell and Mary Jeanett Wright. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Clara, one daughter, Brenda, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two brothers, Allandus of Washington, D. C.; Raymond Wright of Milford, Va.; three sisters, Mary Johnson, Elsie Childs, both of Ruth Glen, Va.; Viola Wright of Milford, Va.; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law, one devoted nephew, Juan Young, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
