Ruby B. Gilliam

Ruby B. Gilliam, daughter of the late Robert and
Lillie Bryant was born January 22, 1929 in Rocky
Mount, North Carolina. She was the youngest of
six children. She departed this life on August 24, 2003 at the home of her daughter.

She moved to New York with her sister Inez where she married Francis Gilliam on August 18,1954.
She had two children, Adrienne Francine and Bettina Renee (deceased).

Ruby worked at Manhattan State Hospital as a Nurses Aide for 25 years. She retired in 1980 due to medical reasons.

In 1992 she sold her house and relocated to
Fredericksburg to live with her daughter Adrienne, her son-in-law William and her granddaughter Kimberly.

Ruby enjoyed going to the Rappahannock Agency
for the Aging on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
where she played Bingo and fellowshipped with the
other Senior Citizens in the Spotsylvania area.

She is survived by her daughter Adrienne, her
son-in-law William, her grandaughter Kimberly
all from Spotsylvania and one brother Estee Bryant from New York and a host of nieces and nephews.
