Roy Samuel Dabney

Roy Samuel Dabney, the first born of five boys to the late Leroy and Ellis Johnson-Dabney, departed this earthly life on August 4, 2011, at Flagler Hospital, St. Augustine, Florida.

At an early age, Roy accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour, and he joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his death.
Roy graduated from the Central High School in King and Queen County, Virginia. On September 10, 1955, he was united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Lenora V. King. From this union one child was born, Deborah.

After serving his country in the US Armed Forces, he joined the ranks of Civilian Federal Service with the Central Intelligence Agency, where he served for 35 years. After retiring in 1989, he relocated with his wife of 56 years, to Palm Coast, Florida, where he remained until his death.

Roy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and faithful wife Lenora; one daughter Deborah Dabney-Brooks, Fredericksburg, VA; one brother, Wallace Dabney, Memphis, TN; one step-sister, Joyce Prue, Washington, DC; one Aunt, Minnie Johnson, Newtown, VA; two uncles, Jesse Tillman, Mt. Rainier, MD and Dorsey Johnson, Tappahannock, VA; one son-in-law Anthony Brooks, Fredericksburg, VA; five sisters-in-law, Clara Williams, Newtown, VA, Sarah King, Newtown, VA, Kathy King, Sacramento, CA, Doretha Dabney, Memphis, TN, and Elsie Dabney, Newtown, VA; two brothers-in-law, Dr. George D. King, Sacramento, CA and Spencer Williams, Newtown, VA; one special cousin, Thelma Latney, Fort Washington, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and frien
