Rosetta Renia Edwards Rush was born on January 24, 1941 in Miami, Florida, the only child to Sally Mae Pruden and the late Willie Wilder.
Her education began at Carver Elementary School in Coconut Grove, Florida and continued until she received a number of Bachelor Degrees and finally, both Masters from Florida International University.

In June 2001, she retired from Coral Park Senior High School, Miami, Florida as Head Counselor. Rosetta and husband, Louis relocated to Spotsylvania where they joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, there she served faithfully as President of the Women's Auxillary, member of the senior choir and missionary society and was active in the American Cancer Society.
Rose leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 32 years, Louis C. Rush, her mother, Sally Mae Pruden, both of Fredericksburg, Va. Her son, Carl Jr. (Gloria D.) of Frederick, Md. Her daughters, Gloria Sumlin (Melvin), of Ft. Washington, Md. and Dynitia Brimm (Rufus) of Orlando, Florida. Rose adored and cherished her precious grandchildren, Sean and Erica Williams of Orlando, Florida; Carl III and Evvanaire Brown of Frederick, Md; Jemel, Malcolm and Dana Sumlin of Ft. Washington, Md.; She also leaves a number of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, dear cousins, nieces, nephews, god-children and very special friends, from as far as Florida, Chicago, Detroit, Georgia, California, New York and Texas.
Mommy will be missed, remembered, cherished and ALWAYS LOVED!!
