Robert Randolph Dudley, departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at his residence in colonial Beach, Virginia.
Robert was born April 20, 1940 to the late Solomon Bryant and Elenor Dudley.
Robert was educated in the Colonial Beach Public School System.
He was employed as a construction worker in his early years, as well as a landscaper and worked at Baker Farm Dairy in Westmoreland.
He was baptized and joined the First Baptist Church, Colonial Beach, Virginia under the leadership of the late Rev. George N. Bumbry.
Robert spent most of his time sharing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Patricia Turner of Colonial Beach, Virginia; one son, Sergeant First Class Robert Turner(Sherrie) of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; four step-children, Linda Pratt(James) of King George, Earl Turner of Colonial Beach, Lorraine Richards(Rev. Lionel) of Colonial Beach and Brenda Turner of Colonial Beach; four grandchildren, Lorenzo, Jameil, Cameron and Jamon Turner; thirteen step-grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene Dudley(Gwen) of Colonial Beach, William Dudley(Ebbie) of King George and Benjamin Dudley(Verdeen)of Colonial Beach; five sisters, Marjorie Wynn of Charlottesville, Christine Waters of Clinton, Maryland, Frances Holmes(Arthur) of King George, Julia Mae Thompson(Theodore) of Colonial Beach and Joyce Blakely(Preston) of Charlottesville; special lifelong friend, Linwood Newman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
