Robert Lee Beverly

Robert Lee Beverley went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Southern Maryland hospital in Clinton, Maryland. He was the son of the late Moses and Emma Beverly born in New Milford, Connecticut on November, 1927.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Little Ark Baptist Church in Owens, Virginia. He attended faithfully and served as a trustee and also faithfully served the community.

He united in holy matrimony with Virginia Beverly to this union one son, George Beverly was born. Later in life after Virginia's death, he met and married Joan Proctor on October 9, 2004.

"Mr. B" as he was affectionately known served as a Merchant Seaman after graduating High School. He then joined the United States Army and served in Germany. After 1 year of service in the United States Army he continued his civil service and became a Baltimore City Policeman, he retired after 28 years of service. He was also a member of American Legion Post #329 where he served as a treasurer
.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia, his son George Beverly, his sister Evelyn Beverly and his two brothers James and John Beverly.

"Mr. B" is survived by his wife Joan Beverly of Dahlgren, Virginia, two daughters Annette Bennett of King George, Virginia, Janet Brown of Port Tobacco, Maryland and two sons Eric and Kenneth Riley both of Welcome, Maryland; his sister Joann Buck of Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
