Ray H. Wright, Sr.

September 6, 1941 — October 14, 2008

Ray H. Wright, Sr.

Ray Hampton Wright , better known as "Hampton or Hamp", departed this life at his home on Tuesday, October 14th after a long battle with cancer. His loving and caring wife, stuck by his side through his time of distress and was by his side when he passed away.

Ray was born on September 6, 1941 to the late Curtis H. Wright and Beulah Lucille Harris, both of Milford, Va.

Ray attended Caroline County Public Schools.

At an early age, he was baptized and joined the St. John Baptist Church, Milford, Virginia.

Ray was married to his wife Rosa for 44 years and to this union four sons were born.

Ray was a hardworking man. He was employed with Washington Gas and Light Company and retired after 31 years of service. Ray also worked at Noble Cars, King George Auto Parts and the County of Caroline.

Kind heartedness was certainly a virtue of Ray's. He gave to others more than he ever expected to receive. However, he wouldn't bite his tongue to get his point across.

Ray is survived by his loving wife Rosa V. Wright of Woodford, Va; four sons, Ray H. Wright, Jr., (LaShaun) of Spotsylvania, Va., Allen L. Wright(Terene) of Milford, Va., Wayne C.
