Priscilla Marie Scott was born on September 6, 1957 to the late Clarence and Gladys Scott. She entered Heaven's gates December 30, 2016 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was a longtime resident of Laurel, Maryland, but recently moved to Spotsylvania, Virginia where her son Andre cared for her until her peaceful passing.
She graduated from King George High School in 1976. After graduating, Priscilla served proudly in the United States Army for 6 years. She then answered her calling and began her life long career as a Correctional Officer at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, a career she loved and worked her way to Corporal. Priscilla was well loved and respected by all her coworkers, even by the offenders who were serving time under her supervision. After 27 years of dedicated service Priscilla retired. She was also a proud member of the Departmental Honor Guard attending many events across the state representing her department and Montgomery County.
Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, and watching sports. Anyone who knew Priscilla knew she was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and would shut down anyone who talked bad about her team. When you think of Priscilla words such as kind, strong, loving, self-less, resilient, are a few that come to mind. She was a loving mother and grandmother who would often be heard saying, "that's Grandmas baby".
Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gladys Scott and her sister Annie Green. She leaves to cherish her memories; her only child, Andre Scott (Crystal) of Spotsylvania; three grandchildren: Alijah Scott, Alivia Scott and Ayanna Cooper; two sisters: Fannie Green (Paul) of King George; Mamie Frenzley (Wayne) of King George; two brothers: Seymore Preston of King George, Jessie Preston (Barbara) of Arlington; one aunt, Agnes Wilder (Reverend Ben Wilder); special friends who she considered family, Norvin Scott Jr., Wynola Wiley, Rena Stevenson, Towanda Mills and a host of family and friends.
