Deacon Preston Milton Hill, the son of the late Eddie and Lillie Hill, was born October 1, 1924 in Stafford, Virginia.
He departed this life Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m., April 7, 2004 at Mary Washington Hospital.
At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Stafford, Va. He was educated at the Mt. Olive and Concord Schools in Stafford, Va. He served two years in the United States Air Forces in Florida and Texas.
Later in life, he moved to King George, Va. He was employed at Guy M. Jeters Lumber Mill until he retired. He was married to the late Deaconess Flossie for 43 beautiful years. During those years he joined The Peoples Union Baptist Church with her. They had enjoyed going to Sunday School and the Worship Services together. He was a Church Deacon, former Trustee and member of Usher Bd., he served faithfully as long as his health permitted him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a brother, Rufus Hill, Sr., a step-daughter, Evangelist Georgia Frazier; two sister-in-laws, Deaconess Laura Hill and Deaconess Margaret Hill, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 17 step-grandchildren; 56 step great-grandchildren and 34 step great-great-grandchildren; his beloved ''Pal'', two year old Jacob Brown, oh how he loved the attention from ''Jake''
Deacon Hill was a very devoted husband and was so helpful to many of the grandchildren. He was very kind and compassionate to everyone.
''All my pain and grief are over. Every restless night is passed. I'm now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.''
