Polly Mae Johnson

A Time to be Born: Polly Mae Johnson was born on June 21, 1940
in King George County, VA. She was the third child of the late
John and Dorothy Mathews.

A Time to Learn: Polly received her formal education in the King
George County Public school system.

A Time to Live: Polly accepted Christ as her personal savior at
an early age, and was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church in King
George County, Virginia. She was joined in holy matrimony to the
late Floyd T. Johnson Sr. on March 17, 1958. From this union,
four daughters and one son were born. Polly was employed by the
King George County Public School System where she served
dutifully for twenty-three years before retiring in 2000. In her
leisure time, she enjoyed fishing, crafting, playing cards,
computer games, traveling, listening to music, and spending time
with family and friends.

A Time to Die: Polly was preceded in death by her husband: Mr.
Floyd T. Johnson Sr.; her parents: Mr. John Mathews; his wife
Dorothy Mathews, one brother John Mathews, and one sister,
Annabel Shanklin.
Polly entered into eternal bliss on Wednesday, January 13 2016.
She peacefully crossed over from this life into a world where
there would be no more suffering.

A Time to Mourn: She leaves to cherish her memory four loving
daughters Cheryl (Alfonso) Ellis of Clinton, MD, Patricia
(Thomas) Jackson of King George, VA, Martha Johnson of Clinton,
MD, and Erica Mae Johnson of King George, VA,; and one loving son
Floyd T. Johnson Jr. of King George, VA; five grandchildren,
Thomas, Crystal, Christopher, Spencer, and Jasmyn; three great
grandchildren Jayden, Chase and Tristan; two sisters Ruth (Bill)
Lancaster of Detroit, Michigan, and Dorothy Frenzley of King
George, VA, 4 sisters in law, two brothers in law; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
