Phillip "Ike" Lewis

Phillip “Ike” Lewis of Colonial Beach, Virginia was born on February 14, 1949 to the late Raymond Lewis and Ethel Tyler Lewis in Dahlgren, VA. He was called home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2017 while resting peacefully. Ike obtained his education through the King George County Public School System first at Ralph Bunche and then King George High School.

Ike worked various jobs in his young life but none more notable than the time he spent working at Roma’s Pizza in Dahlgren, VA. He enjoyed the time he worked at the restaurant although he would say the kids probably enjoyed it more. He loved his family and friends dearly and was an avid Washington Redskins fan as well. He had a great joy for life which was only matched by the great smile he carried with him. He would walk or sometimes ride his bike but that great smile was always with him.

His family, friends, life; but none was more cherished than the love he had for CHRIST. After surrendering his life to CHRIST at an early age, the He was not ashamed to boast to the world about the love he had for his LORD and SAVIOUR. No matter the time or day or situation, he always had a bible verse he could quote you. He was called Phillip, Ike, Rev Ike, and yes, Scooter, but most fondly son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

He was proceeded in death by his three brothers Joseph Lewis of El Paso, TX, Chester Lewis of King George, VA, and Preston Lewis of La Plata, MD.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters Dorothy Exum (Nathaniel) of Seat Pleasant, MD, Savannah Halliburton of King George, VA, Roberta Holmes (Gary) of Quantico, VA, two brothers Charles Lewis of Germany, and Raymond Lewis of King George, a sister-in-law Evelyn Lewis of King George, VA, three aunts Helen Newman, Ida Jackson (Clarence) and Margaret Tyler; an uncle Rannie Tyler of California, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
