NORMAN L. JETT, SR.

In loving memory of Norman L. Jett, Sr., who peacefully passed away at the age of 85. Norman was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend whose kindness and wisdom touched the lives of many. Born on April 7, 1939, in Washington DC to the late David and Naomi Jett, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

As a devoted family man, he leaves behind a legacy of love and integrity. Norman will be fondly remembered for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, work ethic, and dedication to his family. Whether bringing laughter to a family gathering or imparting words of wisdom, his presence brought warmth, and comfort to those around him. A proud business owner, Norman was a staple in the new development housing community for more than 35 years working hand and hand with the love of his life, Esther Jett.

In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, researching vitamins, and watching wrestling. Norman’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Norman is survived by his wife Esther Jett; daughters: Teresa Broussard (Herbert) and Lorraine Randall (Bryan); grandchildren: Maurice, Natasha, Nicole, Charnell, and Khadijia; great grandchildren: Kaiyla, Nachelle, Ke’Juan, Darian, Amiya, Jordan, Azaria, Kyrie, Amir, Amari, and Nia; brother Maurice Jett (Phyllis); sister-in-law Marie; special friend like daughter Joyce and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his son Norman Jett, Jr.; his parents David and Naomi Jett; his brother David, Jr.; and sisters Lucille and Patricia.
