Mozelle Roye

Mozelle Roye, daughter of the late Robert and Adeline Johnson was born in Sparta, Va. on July 5, 1935. She quietly departed this life on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Memorial Regional Medical Center. She attended schools in Caroline County.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she remained a member until God called her to rest.

In April 1965, Mozelle was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Roye, Jr. To this union, three children were born.

Mozelle was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a beautiful sister, and a kind aunt.

She leaves to mourn, two daughters, Joanne D. Johnson of Fairfax, Va.; and Diane Roye of Washington, D. C.; three sons, James O. Johnson and Ronnie Willie Roye both of Sparta, Va.; Lawrace Robert Roye of Hustle, Va.; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Roye of Hustle, Va.; four grandchildren, Brittany Childs, Tabitha Fortune, Taurus Roye and Paris Jada Roye; one brother, Wiliam Johnson of Richmond, Va.; six sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws; a devoted niece and husband, Justeen and Cain Mason of Richmond, Va.; one first cousin, Mary Smith of Ladysmith, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
