Moses A. Johnson

Moses "Mac" A. Johnson of King George, Virginia departed this life Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Hospital.
He was born on December 7, 1925 in King George, Virginia to the late Joseph L. and Daisy M. Johnson.
He was an active member of Union Bethel Church in King George, VA. Mac was a World War II veteran who went on to work as a construction laborer of high rise buildings in Northern Virginia and surrounding areas. He will be well remembered for being a good honest man and his catchy slogans. He was the kind of man who would do anything he could to help another person. His favorite pastimes were spending time with family and friends, driving, watching western movies, and enjoying good food.
Mac is survived by a loving family, including two daughters, Blanche ("Ginny") Allen of Washington, DC and Robin Johnson of King George, VA; two sons, Van Johnson (Christine) of El Paso, TX and Don Johnson (Michelle) of Richmond, VA; his son-in-law, Stanley Bumbrey; two sisters, Lillian "Mallie" Johnson and Shirley Green, both of Washington, DC; his friend and companion, Ms. Geraldine Robinson; 18 grandchildren who affectionately call him "Granddaddy": Reginald Allen, David Allen, Darcy Allen, Leslie Weldon, Clifton Bumbrey, Michael Bumbrey, Donna Johnson, Dana Johnson, Derek Cooper, Danielle Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Melanie Johnson, Dominic Johnson, Dionne Johnson, Don Johnson, Anthony Johnson, and Desiree Johnson; 27 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and a host of other relatives and good friends, many of whom were like family.
Mac was preceded in death by the following immediate family members: his daughter, Linda Bumbrey; his brothers: Dee Johnson, Earl Johnson, Clyde Johnson and Wayne Johnson; his sister: Marie Johnson; and his step-mother, Madonna Johnson.
