Mitchell Dandridge

Mitchell Dandridge, 76, of Woodford died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va.

Mr. Dandridge, the son of the late Alice and Hunter McGuire Gordon Dandridge II, was a true patriarch. He was a loyal friend and counselor who loved poetry and committed to memory a number of his favorite poems and inspirational readings.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Shirley Norman Dandridge; loving children, Timothy of Fredericksburg, Va., Kelvin (Rose) of Spotsylvania, Va., and Sabrina Dandridge of Manassas; devoted siblings, Richard Dandridge of Fredericksburg, Va., Betty Williams of Spotsylvania, Va., and Alice Elizabeth Harris of Fort Worth, Texas; and four granddaughters, Kaleysa, Tiffany, Timi, and Sierra, and a host of other relatives and friends.
