Michael Jerome Pryor

Michael Jerome Pryor, affectionately known as "Cat", entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2012 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 28, 1953 in King George, VA to the late Joseph Pryor, Sr. and Gladys Whiting.

Michael graduated from King George High School. Michael accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Salem Baptist Church, Jersey, VA. In the past few years, he was worshipping at Grants Hill Baptist Church, Leedstown, VA.

He was a painter and his work was skillfully and beautifully done. He always received praises for his gift of painting. He also was an avid drag car racer.

He spent his leisure time visiting the sick, at home as well as in the hospital, helping wherever he could and bringing laughter to all who knew him. His many acts of unselfish deeds will be remembered and missed by friends and family. The work that he has done speaks for him. He was well known throughout the local counties and the adjoining states.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pryor, Sr. and his son, Daniell Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted companion, Annette Purce of Fredericksburg, VA; a loving mother, Gladys Pryor of King George, VA; three brothers Joseph Pryor, Jr. of Truckee, NV; Spencer Pryor (Judy) and Randy Pryor, King George, VA; and five sisters Francine Pryor, Ruby Jordan (Leon, Sr.), Vallire Nelson (Jerry) and Alethia Johnson (Timothy) all of King George, and Faye Jones (George) of Clinton, MD; daughter-in-law, Jane Johnson of Lake Wood, Washington; one son, Anthony Carr of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Davon, Tyriq and Kaden; two special friends, Clayton and Jovan Purce; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
