Mattie Lee

Mattie Lee of Supply VA was born to Mary Henderson and Willie Wright in Dinwiddie County, VA on June 27, 1933. After a short and sudden illness, Mattie went home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 9, 2022. As an adult, Mattie moved up north where she then met and married George Lee on November 19, 1960, in Bordentown, New Jersey. Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, George Lee (2001); her one and only son, Robert Taylor (Gayle Taylor); Nephew, Anthony Wright (2020); Brothers, Vernon Wright, James Wright, Miles Works; Sisters, Annie Mae Wright, Lillie Bell Norris, Viola Robinson, and Ethel Williams.

Mattie Lee is survived by her Daughter-In-Law Gayle Taylor, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; Nieces, Thelma, Cheryl, Michelle Works (Miles), Gloria, Ruth Wright (Vernon), Faith Wright (James); nephew, James "Butch" Wright (Ethel Williams); Her loving in-laws, Bernice Ferguson, Marion Sorrell, Ursula Holmes, Pearl Holmes, and William Holmes, along with a host of extended family and friends.


A viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, 545 E. Mercury Blvd, Hampton, Va
Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, 25662 A.P. Hill Blvd, Port Royal, Va. with a viewing 1 hour prior to service. FACE MASK ARE MANDATORY. (DUE TO COVID SEATING WILL BE LIMITED TO 40 PEOPLE)
