Mattie H Hodge

Mattie Henderson Hodge, daughter of the late Raford and Mary Ella Jones Henderson, was born on January 29, 1936 and she quietly departed this life on March 11, 2016.

She was educated in Edgefield, South Carolina and at an early age she joined Jeter Baptist Church and later became a member of Little Ark Baptist Church. Mattie wed her beloved Persell Hodge on October 5, 1958 and were blessed with six children.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Persell Hodge and her siblings: Amanda Mae Scott; Raford (June) Henderson; Jack Henderson; Aniket Mckie; and Mary Bell Ryans.

Mattie leaves behind to cherish her precious memories her Children: Deloris Henderson, Vera Hodge, Madeline Yates, Persell A. Hodge, Michael & Valerie Hodge, and Caroline Haynes; her Grandchildren: Jason & Teresa Henderson, Antoinette Hodge, Lynette Robinson, Roger & Veronica Yates, Nicole Yates, Michelle Yates, Micah Hodge, Mathew Haynes, and Monique Haynes; 15 great grandchildren; Sisters: Rose Adams, Beatrice Lewis, Kate Tillman; Sister-in-laws: Betty Hodge, Corean Hodge, Sarah Henderson, Bertha Ida Hodge, Carol Robb Thomas, Family Friend-Lois Pierce and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
