Almighty God gently closed the eyes of our beloved sister Mary L. Ware on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her home.
Mary was born March 13, 1920 to the late Thomas and Deaconess Ethel Frye in Madison County, Virginia. She was the second of thirteen siblings. She received her formal education in Madison County Public School.
Mary accepted Christ early in life as her Lord and Savior, and became a member of First Baptist Church Ambar, King George, Virginia; she was the mother of the church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ware; seven brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son Johnny L. Johnson (Velmon) of Philadelphia, adopted son William (Billy) Gray of King George, Virginia, and adopted daughter Martha Williams of Rose Hill, North Carolina; one brother, George Frye; three sisters, Peachie Scranage (Deacon Clarence), Margaret Hill(Samuel), all of King George, Virginia, Vester Lumpkin of Spotsylvania, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Frye of Delaware, a dedicated caregiver Barbara Canada and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
