Mary Frances ''Buttons'' Baylor was born January 16, 1949 in Caroline County to Emrid and Mary Baylor, She departed this life into a peaceful rest on July 9, 2004 at Mary Washington Hospital. Mary accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church of Port Royal, Virginia. She attended Long Branch Baptist Church for most of her adult life. She was a graduate of Union High School. Soon after completing business school in Bristol, Tennessee; Mary retired as the Personnel Placement Specialist with the Department of the Army, Alexandria, Virginia. After more than 20 years of federal service. She was an advocate for friends, family and most of all, elderly and shut-in. ''Buttons'' would always find the time to extend a loving word, a caring expression and a source of information to community-support systems. She leaves to cherish memories, her loving and devoted parents Emrid C. Baylor, Sr. and Mary Baylor of Woodford, Virginia, one aunt, Elizabeth Gresham of Woodford, Virgina and one uncle, James Baylor of King George, Virginia, two sisters, Carlene V. Randle and husband Jimmie of Woodford, Virginia, Dorothy M. Wright and husband John of Woodford, Virginia, three brothers, Emrid C. Baylor, Jr. and James T. Baylor both of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Donald L. Baylor and his devoted companion Gladys Lambert of Fredericksburg, Virginia, one nephew, Daniel B. Randle of Alexandria, Virginia, five nieces, Paula Thompson of Richmond, Virginia, Melissa R. Foxx of Milford, Virginia, Letitia A. McCall of Federicksburg, Virginia, Katina D. Randle, Richmond, Virginia and Corrissa G. Lambert of Fredericksburg, Virginia. A host of great nieces, nephew and numerous cousins. She also leave behind several special friends and a long time devoted friend Paul Lewis of Spotsylvania, Virginia.
