Mary E. Baylor-Banks

Mary Baylor-Banks also known as ''Sister'' answered the Master's call quietly and peacefully in her sleep on Thursday April 10,2003 at her home. She was born April 20, 1938 in King and Queen County, Va. She was the third child born to the late William and Rosie Baylor. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the First Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She attended church regularly until her health began to fail. Mary was a kind and loving person who was loved by all who knew her and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late James P. Corbin on May 19, 1956. To this union she was blessed with a son and daughter, James Edward Corbin and Cynthia Alisa Garnett, both of St. Stephens Church, Va. She also leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Joan B. Hill, Thelma A. Johnson, Rosie D. Baylor all of St. Stephens Church, Va. and Gloria D. Gaines of Hustle, Va., two brothers, Robert L. Baylor of St. Stephens Church Va., and Marvin F. Baylor of Indianapolis, In. One son-in-law Eric Garnett of St. Stephens Church, Va., two brother-in laws Lewis Johnson and Nathan Gaines, two grandchildren Tiawanda Deyo and Marque Deyo, one Aunt Tressie Robinson, a special niece Kristal Gray and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and a very devoted friend and caregiver, Delores Harvey.
