Marie H. Johnson

Marie Harvey Johnson was born February 17, 1926 to the late Eva and Sadie Harvey. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings. She departed this life quietly on August 20, 2017 after a short illness. She graduated from Lawson Training School in 1941. She married Quinton Grant Johnson on September 21, 1946 and from this union two sons were born. One son, Quinton Jr preceded her in death. Mrs. Johnson drove the school bus for King and Queen County Schools for 43 years, and was also a cafeteria worker for both the elementary and the high school. She always had a kind word of encouragement for others, was strong in her faith, and was a lifelong member of First Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 71 years Quinton, one son James, one granddaughter LaToya, and one great grandchild Malik, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
