Margaret Marie Jackson Jordan 63 years old of Spotsylvania, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Deacon George W. Jackson and Deaconess Mary Frances Jackson.
Margaret accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was educated in the Spotsylvania County School System, formerly known as John J. Wright. In the year of 1979, Margaret united in holy matrimony with Edgar Lyndell Jordan; God blessed this union with five children.
Margaret had a heart of gold and love for those she met; she not only raised her children, but her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Margaret was a faithful servant, while at Bethlehem Margaret loved singing in the choirs, teaching the young children, she was the secretary of the Sunday school, a member of the scholarship department, vacation bible class teacher, and she attended bible classes on Wednesday's. Margaret worked for Belk's for almost 20 yrs. before resigning to become secretary and bookkeeper for their business Tierra Tours.
In 2010 Margaret transferred her membership to New Destiny Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she continued to be a faithful servant of the Lord, she was a member of The Moses Ministry, a Sunday school teacher, a Vacation Bible School teacher and she served as a deaconess.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father and two bothers George W. and Walter Jackson.
Margaret leaves to mourn her lost and fond memories her husband Edgar Lyndell Jordan, four sons William Flood, Darrell Flood (Cameron), Edgar Jordan, and Devin Jordan all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, two daughters, Tierra Jordan of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Twanna Gaither of Georgia. One God-daughter, thirteen grandchildren, five sisters Mary Rollins (Richards), Dorothy Marshall (Joseph), Susie Bell, Ernestine Pendleton (Melvin) all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Frances Lewis (Cecil) of Philadelphia, Pa., one brother John R. Jackson of Bowling Green, Virginia. One aunt Esther Beavers of Washington, D.C., father-in-Law, and mother-in-law Edgar and Beatrice Jordan of Stafford, Virginia, six sisters-in-law, Nancy Jackson, Lucille Jackson, Vernell Jackson, Wanda Jordan, Francine Carter, two brothers-in-law, Vernon Jordan, and Donnell Jordan and a host nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins.
