Mamie E. Dickerson

Mamie Elizabeth Dickerson of Port Royal, Virginia departed this life April 24, 2010 to be with the Lord. She was the daughter of the late Carrie Lou Baylor and the wife of the late Richard William Dickerson. She was also preceded in death by two daughters June Emory and Mary Ann Farmer. She is survived by two daughters, Gladys Fortune of Port Royal, Va. and her husband, Oliver Fortune; Jeanne Maclean and her husband, Donald Maclean of Tequesta, Florida; one son Thomas Bundy and his wife, Jane Bundy of Columbia, Maryland; a goddaughter, Pamela White of Woodbridge, Virginia; a special nephew, Robert Johnson, Sr. and his wife Ernestine; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dickerson was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Port Royal, were she graciously carried the title of Church Mother. She was former treasurer of the Senior Choir and member of the Senior Choir until her illness.
