Malisa Montague

Malisa Harmoine Montague entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in Woodbridge, Virginia after a very courageous battle with cancer.
Lisa was born to the late Juanita Johnson and James Kershaw in King & Queen County, Virginia and relocated to Washington, D. C. She graduated from Eastern Senior High School in 1975. She was a dedicated civil service employee of the United States Air Force.
Lisa was a bright and vibrant candle of light to all who knew her. She said whatever she meant and meant what she said. Her personality was a magnet to all who knew her. She loved life and family; and all who had the opportunity to be touched by her charm found it to be infectious. Every day until her last day, her most joyous moments were spent loving her only daughter, Nikkia R. Johnson and granddaughter Malaya Nevaeh Johnson-Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother Bradford Johnson.
She is survived by her 'Significant Other' with love and memories forever, William P. Miller; her brother Terry Pierce (Edyth); cousin Gregory Johnson (Priscilla), Aunts Bernice and Doris Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and very close and dear friends.
Special Note: I, Nikkia R. Johnson, daughter of the late Malisa Montague renders a heartfelt 'Thank You' to all who have been supportive during this difficult hour of grief. A special 'Thanks' to Madelyn, Greg, Carolyn, and Iva who were a dedicated around the clock support system to my mother until her last day. Additionally, words cannot express my gratitude towards my core support system during the loss of my mother. I do thank Catherine, Deidre, Drasha, Fullissa, LaKisha, and Lil' Greg just for being what I needed when I didn't know what I needed.
