Lorenzo Starr 'Eddie' Ford, Sr.

Lorenzo Starr Ford, Sr., affectionately known as Eddie was born March 22, 1951 in Spotsylvania, Va to the late Sarah Elizabeth Ford and the late Herbert Byrd, he is also preceded indeath by his grandparents George W. Ford and Dorothy M. Ford. Eddie Ford was united in Holy matrimony to Otelia L. Canada on January 10, 1971. To this union was added a daughter and a son. -

Eddie was a caring person who would try to help anyone who needed a hand. He always greeted everyone with a "hey buddy or hey baby". He had a special gift of carpentry. He was well known for his awesome talent of creating and remodeling homes.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Otelia L. Ford; a daughter, Sonja T. Henry of Spotsylvania, Virginia; a son Lorenzo Starr Ford, Jr. (Holly) of Nashport, Ohio; Mother-in-law, Almeta Canada, of Spotsylvania, Virginia; one sister, Valerie Wilson of Fredericksburg, Virginia; six half-sisters, Barbara Lewis, Delores Parker (Samuel), Colleen (David), Karen Smith (Bannie), Amanda Lewis all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Carolyn Brooks (Cedell) of King George, Virginia; five half brothers, Kensey Lewis, David Lewis (Debbie ), Dennis Lewis, Gary Lewis all of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Vern "Lee" Lewis ( Beverly) of Locust Grove, Virginia; four aunts, Dorothy Washington, Shirley Lewis, Maude Edwards (Phillip) and Beatrice Lewis all of Spotsylvania, Virginia; four uncles George Ford (Brenda), Raymond Ford, Alfred Ford all of Spotsylvania and Aaron Ford of Washington, D.C., two sisters-in-law, Denise Canada of Richmond, Virginia and Alberta Canada of Spotsylvania, Virginia, two brothers-in-law, Eugene Canada (Lucy) of Falls Church, Virginia and Grafton Canada of Spotsylvania, Virginia; five grandchildren, Mercedes Henry, Jonathan Henry, Kim Jackson, Jalissa Jackson, and Emalee Jackson and a special lady whom he considered like a mom, Ida Lewis.
