Linda Johnson Bumbrey

Linda Johnson Bumbrey of King George, Virginia departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her home. She was born on June 11, 1950 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to Moses A. Johnson and the late Anna Mae Johnson.

She was educated in the Public Schools of King George County. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Little Ark Baptist Church.

On September 2, 1972, she was united in marriage to Stanley G. Bumbrey. Linda had many passions during her lifetime. She most enjoyed her time with her family, cooking, telling stories & jokes, her out of town road trips and watching sporting events.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 38 years, Stanley G. Bumbrey; her father, Moses A. Johnson; her children Leslie B. Weldon, Clifton A. Bumbrey, Michael A. Bumbrey; her son-in-law William ("Billy") Weldon; 6 grand-children who affectionately call her "Granny": Adrienne S. Weldon, Candice N. Bumbrey, A. Justin Weldon, Trevor Spence Bumbrey, Breona M. Bumbrey and Day'von X. Bumbrey; 1 great grandchild, A. Jaylin Weldon; her sisters, Blanche ("Ginny") Allen of Washington, DC and Robin Y. Johnson of King George, VA; her brothers, Ret. Sgt. Major Van P. Johnson of El Paso, TX and Don L. Johnson of Seattle, WA; her father-in-law, Hubert O. McMillan; in-laws Cordella Anderson, David & Anita McMillan, Chris Johnson, and Michelle Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
