Linda Ann Bland-Barker

Linda Ann Bland went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born on August 22, 1963, in Fredericksburg, VA to James and Yvonne Bland.

She accepted Christ at a very early age, always helping and doing for others more than herself.

Linda joined Little Ark Baptist Church at an early age, later becoming a faithful member of the Salem Baptist Church. She served on various committees such as: The Eveready Choraleers, Usher Board and the Decorating Committee.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends. She was always willing to do and give for others. She was very friendly and known to many in the community. Linda also enjoyed watching TV Land especially "I Love Lucy".

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, her children, LaShawnda Bland and James Barker; her parents James and Yvonne Bland; her siblings, Melissa (Wayne) Saunders, Anthony Bland, Berdina (Larry) Clark and Jamie Bland. She was affectionately known to her nieces and nephews as "Aunt Woo Woo". Nieces and Nephews; Janay, Juwan, AJ, Haley, Brittany, Jada, Julia, Asja, and Israel; Goddaughter Asja. A long time companion, Al Lincoln; Special friends, Gaye Johnson, Darlene Stepney, Theresa Courtney and Tery Clayton. While she had no grandchildren, she also leaves to cherish her memory a very special family pet "Chloe".

Linda was a very special daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Linda was dearly loved and cherished by her family and will definitely be missed.
