Laverne C. Parker

LaVerne C. Parker was born on August 3, 1923 to the late William and Cora Rollins in Hustle, VA. She was the 5th child of the thirteen children.

She was educated in the public schools of Essex County, Virginia and graduated from Essex County High School.

In October 1942, she married her late husband, Webster 'Hugh' Parker. From this union came two children, Michael and Diane.

LaVerne was affectionately known as 'Grandma' by the younger generation in her Camp Springs community. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Michael W. Parker (Betty) one daughter, Marilyn 'Diane' Gorham (Bob) five grandchildren, Bobby, Derek, and Ryan Gorham, Genell and Tia Parker, four great grandchildren, Jaelyn and Wesley Gorham, Erika Ikhide and Shayla Sutherland, one sister, Frances Jeter, three brothers, Leroy (Myrtle) Rollins, Clinton 'Arnell' (Monica) Rollins, Frank Rollins, three sister-in-laws, Margaret Rollins, Vernell Howley, Beulah Tapscott, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
