Kirk Andre Nelson

Kirk Andre' Nelson was born October 2, 1979 in Ladysmith, Virginia to the late Cynthia Wright and Kirk Nelson. On Wednesday, January 9, 2013 he received his reward and entered into rest to be with his Heavenly Father.

He was educated in Caroline County Public Schools and was a graduate of Caroline High School. While in middle school, in the 7th grade, he met the love of his life Crystal. They were united in Holy Matrimony on December 31, 2000. He attended Morehouse College and later went on to complete a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. On December 8, 2005, God gave him the ultimate gift of his baby girl, Jordyn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Wright; paternal grandparents, James and Annie Nelson; maternal grandfather, Major Wright; and two very special friends Brian Scott and Andre' Catlett.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Dr. Crystal Nelson, a daughter, Jordyn Simone'; his father, Kirk Nelson (Shelia); his brother, Travis Nelson; grandmother, Daisy Wright. A second set of parents gained through marriage, Percy and Flossie Lewis. One stepbrother Trent Washington (LaToya; one stepsister, Keila Jones (Randy); two sisters-in-law, Yvette Gates (Roosevelt) and Shanice Lewis; four nieces and nephews Victoria, Elijah, Brittani and Adynn; one godson, De'Von Hicks; two aunts Carol Wright and Carolyn Woolfolk (Aubrey); two uncles Major Wright (Sharon) and Timothy Wright (Dale). A special set of cousins, Reginald Samuel, Darrell Scott, Elizabeth Boone, Shelia Boone and Nathan Peatross, Tres Brown and Koyar Coates. God saw fitting that such a special person deserved a special set of devoted friends, Toya Washington, Amr Hallaba, Timothy Virgil, Jarvis McMillian and Kenneth Hartfield. He leaves numerous other family and friends with fond memories.
