John Welford Brown

John Welford Brown

John W. Brown was called to rest on May 7, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital after a brief illness.

The son of the late John (Buck) Brown and Cora Bell Brown, he was born January 23, 1923.

John received his education in Stafford County Public Schools.

He worked at Jeters Lumber Company for 30 years, always doing something. He worked at various other jobs until his retirement.

Loving the outdoors John continued to farm and garden as long as he was able.

Cherishing his memories is one sister Emma Cole of Bowling Green, Va.; one brother James (Alex) Brown of King George, Va.; three nephews William Cole (Ann) of Rappahannock Academy, Va., Raymond Cole (Pam) of Port Royal, Va., and Valee Coghill (Lennette) of Hustle, Va. and a number of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Three special friends, Joe Gooden, Earl Conway and Hezekiah Davis.
