Joanne Ford

Deaconess Joanne Ford of Woodford, Virginia was born November 12, 1931 to the late Lillian D. and Allen E. Boone in Richmond, Virginia. She entered eternal rest January 30, 2015 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

She attended school in Richmond, Virginia. Later, she worked as a nurse assistant/Care giver where her professionalism and expertise expanded for over 30 years.

On April 12, 1954, Joann was united in holy matrimony to the late Robert Lee Ford. Their marriage consisted of a love that was unconditional, a bond that was spiritually connected and a marriage that was Christ centered.

After moving to Woodford, Virginia in 1988, Joann joined Third Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John Ferguson where sh faithfully served beside her husband, Robert Lee Ford in the capacity as the church custodian until 2002. She continued to serve faithfully on the Sunday School Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Choir Ministry and the Usher Board Ministry.

Deaconess Ford was precded in death by her husband Robert Lee Ford and her daughter Barbara Ann Cole. She will forever be in the minds and hearts of all who knew her. She leaves to cherish fondest memories: One Sister, Carolyn Tyree of Woodford, Virginia, two brothers, James Boone of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Wallace Boone of Richmond, Virginia, three grandsons, Mario Cole(LaShaunda) of Hyattsville, Maryland, Kenneth Cole(Eureka) of Alexandria, Virginia and Brian(Dinky) Cole of Capital Heights, Maryland, five great grandchildren, Niamani(Nia), Devin, Deja, Jada and Mario(Man) Cole, nieces and nephews Bonita, Kecia, Wallace, Vonda, Audrey, James Jr, Kevin, Ann, Gina and John. Close friends, Theresa hardy, Mary Price, close cousin Elizabeth Dyson and a host of other relatives and friends.
