Jesse Tillman, Jr.

Jesse Tillman Jr. departed this life to eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2017, born in Queens New York City, the only child of the late Jesse and Gwen Tillman Sr.

Jesse then moved to Washington DC and attended DC public schools, it was also where he met his first wife Bernice E Gaskins, they married December 18, 1948, from that union two children were born, Barbara Anita and Ronald Bernard.

Jesse went on to work as a truck driver for Todd Allen Printing for many years until he retired in 2000. Later Jesse married the late Lena Johnson, January 29, 1965. Jesse enjoyed life with his loving wife until her passing June 25, 2009. Jesse adored his Children and Grandchildren to every inch of his being.

Jesse is survived by his devoted daughters; Barbara Wardlaw, Aretha Johnson (Prentis); Granddaughters: Devlinn Goodall (Paul, Sr.), Germaine Richardson and Robin Cross, Grandsons; Paul Goodall, Jr., William Richardson III, and Jermaine Richardson. Two very devoted friends; Charles Woolfork and Andrew King. Andrew was Jesse's neighbor for over 10 years and made sure Jesse was taken care of with whatever he needed. He also leaves many other family and friends who loved Jesse.
