Jerry R. Roy

Jerry R. Roy, was born August 20, 1952 in Colonial Beach, Virginia to the late Gunion and Elizabeth Roy. He departed this life at his home on September 15, 2005.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined First Baptist Church of Colonial Beach.
Jerry received his education in the public schools of Colonial Beach.
He was employed by the Town of Colonial Beach as a Wastewater Treatment Operator for 28 years.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Georgia Jett on April 2, 1994.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Georgia; daughter, Shontane Roy; stepson, Timothy Jett (Florene); and one granddaughter, Tamara Jett all of King George; three sisters, Eulalia Peyton of Colonial Beach; Rupertha (Johnny) Jordan of Clinton, MD; Janice Kelly of King George; one brother, Terry (Kim) Roy of Killeen, TX; two goddaughters, Shana Jett and Shalonda Lucas; Father-in-law, Allen Baylor; nine sisters-in-law, Etta Washington (Robert), Dorene Quivers, Alice Williams (Andrew), Janice Smith (Victor), Desiree Roy, Mary Roy, Sherry Jones (Mike), and Mary Baylor; five brothers-in-law, Tony Jett (Lisa) and Nathaniel Jett (Cecilia), David Fields (Renee), Tony Baylor (Tracey) and Sterling Baylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
